Open call to participate in the Illustrators Survival Corner of the Children's Book Fair Bologna
Karen Mueller
Are you an illustrator and would you like to be part of the Illustrators Survival Corner teaching program at the 2026 edition of the Bologna International Children's Book Fair?
The Institute of Balearic Studies (IEB) is collaborating with the Bologna Children's Book Fair with the aim of having two illustrators from the Balearic Islands participate as teachers in the Illustrators Survival Corner program of activities, which the festival is organizing from April 13 to 16 in Bologna, Italy.
The fair invites these illustrators to teach a workshop and/or a master class. The activities must be taught in English.
In addition, the selected illustrators have the opportunity to show their work to two editors from the group of professionals who participate in the portfolio viewing sessions organized at the Illustrators Survival Corner.
This call is aimed at professional illustrators residing in the Balearic Islands or native to the archipelago.
The management of the fair and the Illustrators Survival Corner will select the two Balearic participants.
To participate in the selection process, send an email to opencall@iebalearics.org, with your professional background and a representative dossier of your illustration projects in Spanish or English.
If you have any queries or questions, please contact Karen Müller at kamueller@ieb.caib.es.
Registration for the call: until January 25, 2026.
