Open call until June 5: participation in the reviews of Fotofest

Open call for photographers who want to participate in the portfolio reviews Fotofest The Meeting Place 2023

The Institut d’Estudis Baleàrics (IEB) has an agreement with the organizers of the photography festival Fotofest to cover the registration fees for 6 photographers from the Balearic Islands to participate in the The Meeting Place online reviews organized by the festival on July 21 and 22, 2023.

This call is aimed at professional photographers residents in the Balearic Islands or natives of the archipelago.

The Meeting Place 2023 Virtual Portfolio Review is open to lens- and image-based artists and photographers who are looking for feedback on their work and have at least one complete or very near-complete body of work that is ready for exhibition or publication.

Access to an internet connection and a computer with a reliable webcam, microphone and speaker are essential.

The reviewers list is available on the web page of the festival.

The IEB takes care of the registration costs in the modality of 8 reviews of the selected photographers, which it pays directly to the festival.

The organizers of Fotofest The Meeting Place 2023 will select the participating Balearic creators.

To participate in the selection process, send an email with a brief professional biography and the portfolio with the body of work you want to present (in PDF file) to opencall@iebalearics.org until June 5, 2023, indicating in the subject “Fotofest Meeting Place 2023 IEB”. The result of the selection will be communicated from June 7 on the IEB website and by means of an electronic mail to all the photographers who have requested their participation.
