Semifinal Contemporary Dance Competition of the Ar

Last Saturday, June 29, 2024, at the Sa Màniga Auditorium in Cala Millor, the semifinal of the Contemporary Dance competition was held.

All participants presented a fragment of their proposal lasting between 5 and 10 minutes. From these performances, the jury selected the three finalist companies or dancers, taking into account criteria such as creativity and artistic quality, originality and innovation of the proposal, and the interpretative dimension (staging, transmission and personality ).

The jury was chaired by Nieves Portas, director of the Teatro Principal de Maó, and composed of members Pere Santandreu, director of the Sa Manga Auditorium in Cala Millor, Catalina Carrasco, choreographer and dancer, Joan Taltavull, choreographer and dancer, and Elisenda Farré, coordinator of the Performing Arts area of ​​the Institute of Balearic Studies.

In the edition of Fira B! 2024 we will schedule the winners of Art Jove de Teatre 2023 and we can also highlight that Fira B! will schedule the winners of this 2024 Dance competition in the 2025 edition.
