Registration for the Photo Folio Reviews from Les Rencontres de la Photographie d'Arles 2025

The Institute of Balearic Studies (IEB) has an agreement with the organizers of Les Rencontres de la Photographie d'Arles festival to cover the registration fees of four photographers from the Balearic Islands to participate in the Photo Folio Reviews organized by the festival from July 7 to 11, 2025, in Arles, France.

This call is open to professional photographers residing in the Balearic Islands or natives of the archipelago.

To register, it is necessary to submit a portfolio with at least three recently completed photography projects.

The IEB will cover the registration fees for the 10 viewings of the selected photographers, which it will pay directly to the festival.

To participate, please send an email with a brief professional biography and a portfolio of the projects you will present (in PDF format) to opencall@iebalearics.org before May 6, 2025, indicating "Rencontres 2025 IEB" in the subject line. The selection results will be communicated by email starting May 12 to all photographers who have applied.

Once registered, the festival will provide you with a login/password so that, starting May 19, at 7:00 PM, you can choose who you want to conduct the reviews with. The list of experts can be consulted starting April 30.

The selection of photographers will be based on the order in which the emails are received, on compliance with the aforementioned requirements and on the quality and interest of the portfolio presented.

Two places will be reserved preferably for photographers who have received IEB Creation grants.

Selected photographers, if eligible, have the option of benefiting from the IEB's visual arts mobility program to travel to and stay in Arles, France.

Dates of the Photo Folio Review: July 7 to 11, 2025.

Venue: Salles des Fêtes d’Arles, Maison de la Vie Associative, 3 Boulevard des Lices, Arles, France.

Publication date of the list of experts: April 30, 2025.
