1. Grant lines
a) SUPPORT FOR MOBILITY
Support for the mobility of authors, publishing managers, researchers, and cultural agents linked to the fields of literature, thought, comics, and illustration, in order to attend fairs, festivals, literary residencies, presentations, colloquia, and professional meetings outside their island of residence or origin.
Likewise, support is also available for the mobility of managers of board game publishing companies that include a creative and artistic contribution by authors and illustrators who are natives or residents of the Balearic Islands and that incorporate original narrative or graphic content (see conditions in section 1.2.a) of the call).
Beneficiaries
Authors, publishing managers, researchers, and cultural agents from the Balearic Islands. Organizers of literary festivals inviting Balearic authors may also apply, as well as managers of the board game publishing companies mentioned above.
Eligible expenses
— Travel (economy-class tickets and vehicle rental are accepted) and accommodation (see the summary table of maximum amounts). Tourist taxes and per diems will not be covered.
— In the case of literary residencies, only round-trip travel to the residency facilities is eligible.
— Accreditation or registration fees for fairs or professional events.
— Mileage for road travel using a private vehicle, at a maximum rate of €0.262384 per kilometer.
— Exceptionally, if an event is cancelled due to force majeure, expenses paid prior to the cancellation are eligible.
— Travel expenses will be calculated based on the maximum amounts between the reference island (the island where the artist is a native or resident) and the location of the activity.
Maximum mobility amounts

Travel and accommodation must be justified with invoices. Only the justified amount will be paid, up to the established maximums.
b) SUPPORT FOR PUBLISHING
Support for publishing projects marketed through bookstores or digital book sales platforms that contribute to the international projection of books, regardless of their format or medium (physical and/or digital), and which fall into one of the following categories:
1st. Publication of translations of works by authors who are natives or residents of the Balearic Islands, distributed outside the Balearic Islands.
2nd. Publication of original works by authors who are natives or residents of the Balearic Islands.
3rd. Publication of translations into Catalan of universal works published by Balearic publishing houses, publishers that can certify that 50% of employment contracts or contracted services in the last year were carried out in the Balearic Islands, or publishing projects whose subsidized activity takes place within the Balearic Islands.
4th. Electronic publications (Mobi, Epub, etc.) of works by authors and illustrators who are natives or residents of the Balearic Islands.
These publishing projects must be accompanied by an international promotion plan for the book (national or international distribution, digital promotion, social media promotion, participation in online and/or in-person meetings, presentations outside the island of residence, dissemination through professional fair platforms, etc.).
Beneficiaries
Legal entities or individuals registered in the tax census and/or the Economic Activities Tax (IAE) under categories related to the publishing sector, or whose corporate purpose is the professional development of activities related to publishing.

c) SUPPORT FOR PROMOTION
Grants may be requested for:
— The production of graphic and audiovisual material associated with the promotion of Balearic authors, including the preparation of promotional dossiers that may include translations of excerpts from one or more works, the author’s biography, and other related material (press articles, reviews, etc.). The purpose of these dossiers must be the international promotion of adaptation rights (translation and/or adaptation).
— The organization of presentations of works or authors from the Balearic Islands, as well as conferences, round tables, seminars, and poetry readings, outside the island of residence or origin.
— The participation of professionals from the Balearic Islands in fairs and festivals in the fields of literature, thought, comics, and illustration.
Beneficiaries
Legal entities or individuals registered in the tax census and/or the Economic Activities Tax (IAE) under categories related to the publishing sector, or whose corporate purpose is the professional development of activities related to publishing.
Eligible expenses
— Production of graphic and audiovisual material. Translations of excerpts included in a promotional dossier may not exceed 15% of the work.
— Fees and professional service contracts.
— Travel of persons and freight. Economy-class tickets and vehicle rental are accepted.
— Accommodation, provided it can be justified with invoices, up to a maximum of €100 per person per night. Tourist taxes and per diems will not be covered.
— Mileage for road travel using a private vehicle, at a maximum rate of €0.262384 per kilometer.
In the case of Balearic Islands companies attending fairs or events aimed at direct sales to the public, the following are eligible:
— Rental cost of the exhibition space.
— Travel of employees of the applicant company, up to a maximum of two persons.
— Accommodation for those employees, up to a maximum of two persons, provided it can be justified with invoices, up to €100 per person per night. Tourist taxes and per diems will not be covered.
For both line b) and line c), employee salaries may be subsidized, provided employees are registered under the general Social Security system and Social Security costs are borne by the company, up to a maximum of 30% of eligible expenses.
2. Number of applications and maximum amounts
— Line a): up to three applications (see the mobility maximum amounts table).
— Line b): no limit on the number of applications. Maximum amount per application: €6,000. Maximum total per call: €18,000.
— Line c): no limit on the number of applications. Maximum amount per application: €2,000. Maximum total per call: €5,000.
3. Submission of applications
• There are two submission periods:
1. First submission period: from March 3 to April 20, 2026.
— Lines a) and c): applications must be submitted for activities taking place between September 16, 2025 and April 20, 2026. Optionally, activities between April 21 and September 15, 2026 may also be submitted.
— Line b): applications must be submitted for activities taking place between January 1 and April 20, 2026. Optionally, activities between April 21 and December 31, 2026 may also be submitted.
2. Second submission period: from April 21 to September 4, 2026.
— Lines a) and c): only activities taking place between April 21 and September 15, 2026.
— Line b): only activities taking place between April 21 and December 31, 2026.
• Applicants with tax residence in Spain:
Applications must be submitted through the CAIB electronic headquarters. Applicants must have a digital certificate, electronic ID, or permanent Cl@ve and be able to sign electronically. Applications must use the official forms and comply with Article 16 of Law 39/2015.
• Applicants with tax residence outside Spain:
Applications must be submitted through the online platform provided by the IEB: https://grants.iebalearics.org
• Required documentation: see section 8 of the call.
4. Implementation period
— Lines a) and c): between September 16, 2025 and September 15, 2026.
— Line b): between January 1 and December 31, 2026.
Invoices must be issued and paid before the end of the justification period.
5. Payment of the grant
— For grants of €2,000 or more, payment will be made in two installments:
a) A first advance payment of 50% after publication of the grant award decision.
b) A second payment of the remaining 50% after completion and full justification of the project, within a maximum of six months from submission of the justification documents.
— If the justified eligible amount is lower than the amount requested, the grant will be reduced proportionally.
6. Justification
— Deadline: 20 working days after completion of the subsidized activity. If the award decision has not yet been published in the BOIB (Official Bulettin of the Balearic Islands), the deadline will be 20 working days from its publication.
— Submission: documentation must be submitted following the same procedure as for applications.
— Documentation (SUMMARY – see section 19 of the call):
• Activity report, using the downloadable template, certifying compliance with the grant conditions.
• Financial justification report, using the downloadable template.
• Copies of invoices and proof of payment.
• For applications under line b), five copies of the subsidized book bearing the IEB logo combined with the logo of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports, accompanied by a delivery note or similar document and the file number. These may be delivered in person or sent by post to the following addresses:
