The Institut d'Estudis Balearics (IEB) has selected Balearic professionals in the field of dramaturgy, direction and interpretation to participate in the edition of the Sala Beckett Summer Workshop/International Dramaturgy Workshop this year
The students selected, and who are already participating in this 19th edition of the Sala Beckett Summer Workshop, which started this July 7 until July 19, 2024, are the actress Paula Lizana Carrió; the playwright Neus Nadal Paré; the actress, teacher and director Neus Cortès Núñez; actress Alba Vinton; the actress and creator Paula Cecilia Araya Yañez; the actor and creator Lluís Colom.
The courses attended by the selected students, as part of the Summer Workshop, are stage creation and dramatic writing workshops given by Pablo Messiez, Alberto Cortés, Anna Breckon, Nat Randall and Pablo Remón, and, specifically , are the following: the scenic creation workshop "Adaptation through interdisciplinarity", given by Anna Beckon and Nat Randall, which will be attended by Paula Lizana Carrió; the dramatic writing workshop «Invent, dream, remember», by Pablo Remón, which will be attended by Neus Nadal Parés; the stage research workshop "La brutalidad de los hechos", by Pablo Messiez, which will be attended by Neus Cortès Núñez: the stage creation workshops "Em vas dir un t estimo en una clariana del bosc", by Alberto Cortés, more "Adaptation through interdisciplinarity", taught by Anna Breckon and Nat Randall, attended by Alba Vinton; the scenic creation workshop "Adaptation through interdisciplinarity", given by Anna Breckon and Nat Randall, which will be attended by Paula Cecilia Araya Yañez, and the scenic research workshop "The brutality of facts", by Pablo Messiez, which Lluís Colom will attend.
Sala Beckett is one of the most outstanding centers in Europe in the field of contemporary stage creation; a space for creation, training and theatrical experimentation, dedicated especially to the promotion of contemporary drama and the dissemination of Catalan theatrical authorship.
With this agreement, the Balearic Studies Institute (IEB) is once again supporting Balearic professionals, offering them a great opportunity for growth and training in their cultural field.
